Thomas Marriott is a designer and researcher working at the juncture of design and social research. His work is interested in the role that design practice can play in investigating and communicating the social, cultural, and political implications of technologies in a range of contexts. He is currently undertaking a PhD in the design department at Goldsmiths, which examines the use of body-worn video cameras by police forces in England and Wales.

 

He holds a BA in Design from Goldsmiths 2012 and a MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art 2015 where he studied on Platform 13 under Onkar Kular and Dash MacDonald.

 

He was a founding member of commoninitatitve an experimental design practice which ran from 2015 – 2017.
